Case Summary:

• Background - The “Execution Plan (EP)” module allows QA managers to schedule, assign, and manage execution plans.
• Problem - Customer reviews suggested that QA managers found it difficult to navigate flows and assign test cases to their team members.
• Investigation - After evaluation, I found that it was the basic UX gaps such lack of hierarchy, signifiers and information presentation throughout the architecture that caused confusion and delay in EP creation and scheduling.
• Action and Result - I designed a new “calendar” UI with easy drag-and-drop-based interactions that gave users a familiar feel of setting up a “schedule”.

About “Execution Plan (EP)” module

Execution Plan is a module in Simplify QA automation testing platform. This module helps Quality assurance managers to plan, assign and schedule testcases to QA testers as per a date of execution.
